(Photo: Chaiyot Pupattanapong)CHON BURI: Gangsters who claimed "ownership" of Pattaya beach have expelled tourists and injured an Indian businessman for sitting on part of the beach without permission. The incident occurred just 100 metres from Pattaya Police Station late on Tuesday night and involved Thai and Indian tourists, . Thai tourist Rinlada Klahan said she and her friends quickly left the area when the gangsters approached the tourists and claimed the area was overseen by a landlord. She suspected the gangsters were members of a group who rent mats to tourists sitting on the beach.
